A delegation of nine publishers from Indonesia, Malaysia and the UK will be selected via open call to participate in the IPA Congress in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, as well as the bespoke British Council Publishing Futures programme on the days before the Congress. The Publishing Futures programme will include roundtables and workshops with industry leaders which will offer a deep dive into the South-East Asian publishing sector as well as topics of specific interest to the selected delegates. The programme will take place from 2–8 July 2026

We are currently inviting applications for Storytelling in Gaming: Challenge Lab, part of Sheffield DocFest (10–15 June 2026), a British Council partner and the UK’s leading documentary festival and a key international platform for non-fiction storytelling across film, XR, and immersive media. This three-day lab, under the festival’s Alternate Realities strand, will bring together five selected creative teams from around the world to develop early-stage ideas into a playable 3–5 minute interactive prototype. The programme focuses on the storytelling potential of gaming environments as spaces for community, narrative, and experimentation.
