The Study UK Alumni Awards Malaysia 2026 returns this January – recognising outstanding UK alumni who are driving change in their professions, communities, and the country.

The Study UK Alumni Awards are known for their prestige and unforgettable atmosphere — and next year, we’re taking it to the next level.
The 2026 Awards will once again be a gathering of trailblazers, changemakers, and leaders. Just as we welcomed distinguished guests in 2024, we look forward to hosting an even more diverse and inspiring audience in the coming edition.
Meet the 2024 Award recipients who have made waves in their fields (from the left, Dr Murallitharan Munisamy, Wendy Teo, Sr Vicky How Peck Ying, Prof. Dr Abhi Veerakumarasivam). In 2026, who will take the stage? Will it be you — or someone you know — inspiring the next generation of Malaysian leaders?
In 2024, our guests were treated to an evening of world-class performances. In 2026, expect even more — where art, culture, and celebration come together to honour the best of UK alumni talent.

Celebrating the game-changers, risk-takers, and visionaries. This award honours UK alumni who are driving innovation — whether that’s launching a start-up, building a transformative product, or reshaping an industry. Winners in this category have turned creative ideas into tangible solutions and thriving opportunities, setting new benchmarks for growth and impact.

Areas of work could include (but are not limited to): entrepreneurship, business leadership, technology, finance, and emerging industries. Whether you’ve founded a company, pioneered a new market, or led groundbreaking projects in your organisation, this category is for those who turn possibilities into progress.

New for 2026.

Recognising UK alumni who inspire, entertain, and connect communities through creativity and sport. This category celebrates artistic ingenuity, cultural influence, and the unifying power of sports — from the creative minds shaping music, design, and media, to the athletes and sports leaders who inspire both on and off the field.

Areas of work could include: arts, design, humanities, traditional and digital media, music, film, TV, sports, online content creation, and audiovisual media (including blogging, vlogging, and social media). If your work sparks imagination, moves audiences, or brings people together through sport, this is your stage.

For the problem-solvers and innovators committed to building a better future. This award honours UK alumni whose careers and achievements in science and sustainability are creating meaningful change — from breakthrough research and technological advancements to solutions that address some of the planet’s biggest challenges.

Areas of work could include: climate action, clean energy, medicine, sustainable cities and communities, engineering, industry, and construction. If your work drives measurable impact in science or sustainability — improving lives today and securing a better tomorrow — this is your platform to be recognised.

Celebrating those who lead with purpose and act with compassion. This award recognises UK alumni who have made an exceptional contribution to creating positive social change, championing equality, and improving lives in their communities and beyond.

Areas of work could include: education, peace and justice, reducing inequality, tackling poverty and hunger, humanitarian work, or broader efforts for social good. If you’ve dedicated your career or a significant part of your life to uplifting others and building more inclusive, equitable societies, your story deserves to be told here.

The Study UK Alumni Awards return in 2026 — bigger, bolder, and more inspiring than ever. Now in its twelfth year, the Awards spotlight the exceptional achievements of international UK alumni who are making waves in their professions, transforming their communities, and shaping a better world.

In Malaysia, the Awards will honour outstanding individuals across four categories as listed above.

From entrepreneurs launching global start-ups, to artists reshaping cultural landscapes, to scientists tackling climate change — the Alumni Awards tell the stories of UK alumni using their education to change the world.

Why it matters

The Awards are more than a night of celebration — they are a platform that amplifies the voices and achievements of UK alumni to audiences in Malaysia and around the globe. Winners and finalists gain national and international recognition, open doors to new collaborations, and join a growing network of exceptional alumni making an impact worldwide.

By recognising these achievements, the Awards also showcase the value of a UK education — not only in driving professional success, but in creating leaders, innovators, and changemakers who shape the future.

Who can apply

The Alumni Awards 2026 are open to international UK alumni living outside the UK who have studied at degree level or above at a recognised UK higher education institution within the last 15 years (2010–2025). Full eligibility criteria will be available before applications open.
