Role overview
Management of finance services, systems and procedures; planning, monitoring and reporting on budget, supervision of accounting routines via internal SAP system
- Ensure all finance policies, procedures and practices are compliant with BC corporate guidelines and standards as well as any external legislation as per project requirement
- Ensure monthly FCCF reporting is accurate and any projected overspend/underspend is flagged up well in advance
- Ensure budget monitoring is supported by appropriate and transparent documentation
- Prepare monthly 12-month cash flow forecast for ELTDP
- Park journals in SAP for ELTDP Petty Cash
- Ensure staff payroll for ELTDP is processed accurately on schedule with supporting documents and maintain strict confidentiality
- Ensure all deductions and payment of statutory contributions such as EPF are done accurately and in timely fashion
- Ensure EA forms are generated promptly from the outsourced payroll agent for each staff two months before the deadline for the submission of personal income tax on a yearly basis
- Ensure tax clearance forms (CP21) are generated promptly from the outsourced payroll agent
- Lead on all necessary financial steps to be taken when a member of staff joins or leaves the project
- Ensure all month-end, year-end and other miscellaneous tasks are completed within set deadlines
- Ensure a clean audit opinion/good rating for External audit
- Monitor to ensure that staff are compliant with all BC financial policies and corporate guidelines
To provide effective and relevant advice, guidance and support on SAP and any finance related matter to internal & external stakeholders to ensure the project is operating in a financially sound environment
- Provide appropriate guidance and information, and respond promptly, clearly and accurately to requests or queries on finance-related issues by ELTDP management team and mentors, country office, the regional office, HQ, Accounting Hub and other stakeholders
- Brief and keep staff updated on latest changes in accounting policies and procedures internally and externally
- Closely monitor the financial health of the project throughout the delivery stage
To manage and develop staff, ensuring outputs are achieved and targets and standards met
- Motivate staff with professional support and guidance at all times
- Delegate appropriate tasks with guided instructions.
- Line manage up to 3 staff
