The Study UK Pre-Departure Briefing is an annual event organised by the British Council in Malaysia to prepare students for their GREAT educational adventure towards a UK experience and qualification. The pre-departure briefing will provide an interactive information experience to prospective UK students, ‘offer holders’ and their parents prior to taking up a place at a university in the UK.
This year, our pre-departure briefing will comprise a series of mini activities and information sessions over 2 days, each designed to enable students to prepare for their educational and cultural experience with the UK. Events will be a hybrid mix of physical and virtual interactions that encourage content-sharing, including workshops and live-streamed information sessions.
Students will be able to:
- obtain the latest UK education updates and insight directly from UK universities, organisations and alumni about studying at a UK university, student life and cultural experience
- be inspired by connections with industry, employers, academics, agents and advisors who will enrich their understanding and help them plan their journey towards UK study.
- provide updates on everything from visas and immigration to travel, UK life, banking and IELTS
- meet peers from across Malaysia who are also planning their international study experience with the UK
