The A.R.C. Challenge is the British Council’s programme of innovative engagement activities, bringing people together from across the world to interact on the global issue of climate change.

Taking its impetus from the UN Climate Change Conference of the Parties (COP26) in 2021, and designed to expand on the legacy of that event, the A.R.C Challenge presents opportunities for co-operation, dialogue and action through education, science, society and the arts.

A.R.C. stands for Awareness, Resilience and Collaboration.

The A.R.C. Challenge directly supports our British Council Society work. It aims to encourage and empower young people from diverse social backgrounds, cultures and marginalised communities to actively participate and share their ideas in the climate change debate, gaining new perspectives on a topic that affects their future.
