Operations Manager, Examinations

We are looking for a Operations Manager (Examinations) in our Kuala Lumpur branch to assist in managing the delivery of examinations to ensure compliance with security and exam body standards as well as high levels of customer service to ensure business success. As an Operations Manager, you will implement and monitor exam processes to support the achievement of business targets and development plans. You will also manage finance related to exams income, control direct expenses and other administrative costs. 

Key stakeholders for this post will include the Exams administration team and the Customer Services team. You will have to work closely with the Customer Service team in designing and implementing efficient and customer friendly processes that reflect British Council’s corporate customer service standards, as well as acting on objective feedback and using this to make improvements. You will have the opportunity to lead on exams customer satisfaction surveys and scorecard. In terms of line management, you will have the chance to develop and motivate an effective team that works toward the achievement of shared targets and objectives. 

This Operations Manager role will be based in Kuala Lumpur but will have responsibility for examinations conducted throughout both East and West Malaysia and Brunei and will be a member of the Examinations team of 15 members led by Country Examinations Manager. The post holder is expected to provide full administration support to the team. He or she will be responsible for on-site and off-site examinations delivery and play a key role in coordination across operations, marketing and business development.

To be considered, you must have:

  • a First Degree or professional diploma in any discipline,
  • minimum two years of experience in operations or administration role and
  • good written and oral communication skills in English (English Language Proficiency – CEFR Level C) and Bahasa Malaysia.
  • Prior experience of examinations management and a Post-Graduate in any discipline will give you an advantage.
