ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT/TEAM
Our Teaching Centre Marketing Team in Malaysia provides strategic direction and marketing activities that support the corporate brand and generate demand for our British Council English courses for children and adults. The Malaysia English business is not only a significant contributor to our success in East Asia, it is also one of the most dynamic and innovative businesses we have. WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING AND WHY
Working with both internal and external stakeholders colleagues in British Council, you will lead the English Teaching marketing strategy, planning and execution for Malaysia, as well as ensuring it drives and supports the region’s strategic objectives for the British Council in a flexible, cost-effective way. You will also lead, coach and develop a team of three marketers across a range of marketing disciplines to ensure effective, integrated, and join up delivery of Malaysia’s marketing activity to maximise impact and share of voice in country.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
You need to bring along at least eight to ten years of experience working in a marketing management position within a large and complex organisation. You will possess integrated marketing experience with extensive experience on digital marketing. You can develop marketing campaigns from ideation to completion including reporting. You will bring with you five years of people management experience and can manage external suppliers. A recognized marketing qualification or relevant external professional certification e.g. CIM, or equivalent experience along with fluency in both written and spoken Bahasa Malaysia, Mandarin and English is essential for this role.
