How did the British Council help you pursue your dreams?
When I was applying for university, there was always one constant thought that nagged me. How would I afford an education abroad? Nevertheless, this thought never stopped me from pursuing my dreams of studying Architecture in the UK. When I saw the advertisement for the British Council IELTS Prize, I did not hesitate to take my chances, and the rest is history. I’m very grateful to the British Council for enabling me to pursue my dreams of studying abroad, as these two years have truly been an amazing experience that has broadened my horizons and opened new doors for me. In these two years alone, I have had the opportunity of meeting so many people from diverse backgrounds, been challenged daily by the academic rigour at university, seen and experienced amazing works of architecture that my mind cannot comprehend, and of course, ticked some items off my bucket list!

Besides having the honour to be a recipient of the British Council IELTS Prize, the guidance and assistance given by the British Council was a priceless resource when it came to applying for visas and universities in the UK, which I believe that many students like myself truly appreciated. Moreover, my involvement as an IELTS ambassador had provided me the opportunity to (hopefully) inspire and encourage other students who are thinking of pursuing an education in the UK.
