Overview
The British Council requires a Creative Copywriting Consultant to support the development of clear and compelling narratives for our knowledge products across all our East Asia Higher Education Partnerships programme work and knowledge product - to ensure creativity and innovation in the way we engage with education professionals, communicate our impact stories and convene UK and EA HE sector leaders to influence policy and strengthening systems so that we can continue delivering value to the UK and the countries that we operate in. Through this consultancy, we anticipate that the innovative and enhanced version of our HEP knowledge products and narrative will enable us to make our work more accessible, effective, interactive and collaborative so as to support the development of greater UK-EA partnerships as we move forward.
Specification
The British Council higher education team in East Asia is currently evaluating the way in which we can add value to our programme in the HE sector through more interactive and effective engagement with our HE stakeholders. There is therefore a need to develop more effective and innovative practices in our communication via virtual, face-to-face as well as blended delivery channels which best fits our target audience in the UK and in EA. This requires clear and compelling narratives for our knowledge products across all our EA HEP programme work, to ensure creativity and innovation in the way we engage with education professionals, communicate our impact stories and convene UK and EA HE sector leaders to influence policy and strengthening systems so that we can continue delivering value to the UK and the countries that we operate in. Objectives for the consultancy
1. To enhance the value of our HEP knowledge products by:
a. developing clear and compelling narratives and collaterals (regional and country) that raise awareness on the impact of the HEP programme among UK and EA sector stakeholders on what is our Higher Education programme in East Asia and the impact of our Higher Education programme in East Asia
b. undertaking copy-editing and design expertise that enhances the value, relevance and reach of our HEP knowledge products including our insights reports.
2. To support the capacity development of the British Council East Asia’s education team by developing toolkits and templates for effective communication of our knowledge products:
The overall aim is to ensure that we are able to provide an innovative, interactive, effective and compelling narrative for the UK-EA HEP programme that would positively highlight the work of the British Council in Higher Education in a global and regional space - specifically our work in insights, programme achievements across countries, good practices and impact stories.
