From film to animation, games to theatre, music to dance, the UK’s £71 billion creative sector is one of the UK’s most important industries, driving economic growth and supporting jobs across the UK. The UK’s creative industries is one of the fastest growing industries in the UK – it is estimated that in 2012 the sector generated over £8 million an hour and employed nearly 1.7 million people in the UK, according to DCMS’s Creative Industries Economic Estimates, January 2014.

Our work in the arts aims to promote the UK’s diverse culture, creativity and innovation overseas. We work across the art forms and with the best of British talent to develop artistic programmes and opportunities for collaboration in Malaysia.
