Arrival by plane 

Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) – You can travel into Kuala Lumpur by: 

The KLIA Transit or Express Train Services at KLIA ERL Station (Level 1)

Price: Approximately 55 MYR  

Journey time: Approximately 35 minutes (transit) or 28 minutes (express) to KL Sentral Station 

Frequency: Trains run approximately every 15 -20 minutes 

If you are heading to Grand Hyatt Kuala Lumpur or hotels around it, take the Light Rail Transit (LRT) Kelana Jaya Line (Ruby Red line) at KJ 15 KL Sentral Station, and disembark at the KJ 10 KLCC Station.

Taxis/cabs cost around 75 MYR, depending on the traffic. Note that the traffic is normally at its peak at Kuala Lumpur area around 17.00 to19.00. 

Rideshare service such as Grab is the alternative option. The journey costs around 65 MYR (not including toll charges), depending on the traffic and the level of service selected. Note that the traffic is normally at its peak at Kuala Lumpur area around 17.00 to 19.00.

Taxis can be hailed on the street or booked ahead by your hotel’s or the convention centre’s concierge. Please insist on using the meter as some taxis might impose flat rates on international visitors. 

There are two official taxi options: 

  • Budget taxis, which are red and white. The rate is 3 MYR for the first 2km and 10 cent for every 200 meters. A 50% surcharge is levied between 12.00 AM and 6.00 AM. 
  • Executive taxis, which are blue. The rate is 6 MYR for the first 1km and 20 cents for each consequent 150 meters. A 50% surcharge is levied between 12.00 AM and 6.00 AM.
