Over two weeks in October 2019, Rachael Turner (Director of Manchester Digital Laboratory or MadLab) travelled all over Malaysia to meet with the 15 hubs who attended our Capacity Training Workshop in March to conduct in-depth interviews on their hubs.
The objectives of the visit and the resulting report are:
- To gain an overview of the different types of hubs operating across Malaysia, their profiles, sustainability, impact and challenges.
- To facilitate the charting of growth, progress and change of Malaysian hubs through a big picture lens. The interviews could be used as a self-assessment and narrative-building exercise for hubs.
- The profiles and synthesis can also be used by the participating Malaysian hubs as a monitoring and evaluation resource of their own hub and the larger creative hub sector
The resulting report of the situation analysis visit will feed into our planning for 2020’s Hubs for Good programme and activities, to further facilitate opportunities for growth and learning for Malaysian creative hubs.
