Role overview

The British Council in Damansara is recruiting teachers to join our Teaching Centre in June 2016.

This is an excellent career development opportunity for teachers to broaden their academic and professional skills. The Teaching Centres in Kuala Lumpur benefits from a wide range of ICT and teaching resources, and provides many opportunities for training and development, including funding for DELTA, the YL Extension to the CELTA and a full programme of INSETT training. Many of our teachers have benefitted from this and have gone on to take up coordinator and management posts within the network.

British Council Damansara is located in a shopping mall in a busy shopping and residential area about 16km from the Kuala Lumpur branch, which is in the heart of the capital. The Damansara centre has ten classrooms and is primarily a young learner centre, meaning that the centre is busiest at weekends. Young Learner students are aged from 5 – 17. There are also some adult classes, with myClass being offered on weekday evenings, as well as some off-site work teaching in private schools to primary age students.

The post holder must have Malaysia working visa at the time of application.
