Head of Arts and Creative Industries Malaysia
- To provide strategic and operational leadership for arts and partnership work in Malaysia, building on existing and new programme and partnerships, including:
- Designing and delivering a strategy which widens and deepens the level of cultural collaboration between Malaysia and the UK, contributing to global arts outcomes and regional priorities
- Increasing the profile and impact of the British Council in Malaysia through the development of a strong arts and creative industries programme

As the Head of Arts and Creative Industries, you will provide strategic and operational leadership for arts and partnership work in Malaysia which include building on existing and new programme and partnerships.
You are tasked to increase the profile and impact of the British Council in Malaysia by designing and delivering strategy which widens and deepens the level of cultural collaboration between Malaysia and the UK. On top of that, you will be responsible to seek out new opportunities to grow our work through partnerships and other sectors.
You will have the opportunity to work with a range of global and local partners of the design and delivery of programmes thus you will develop a deeper understanding of the UK's priorities in a range of arts and creative industries. Some travel around Malaysia and in the region will be necessary.
To be successful, you should possess a First degree and bring along significant experience in the arts in an international context. You will also have the experience in creative producing, programming or management in the arts sectors in Malaysia. Experience of working on projects or programmes with the UK, Malaysia and South East Asia will be an advantage. You should also possess good language proficiency in both English and Bahasa Malaysia.
