Role overview

Based in our Penang branch, he or she will act as British Council’s ambassador and provide top quality services to customers while meeting all KPIs in order to enable the British Council to meet its sales and customer management targets. In terms of customer liaison, the Course Consultant will follow up with customers who had their consultations and/or placement tests with the purpose of offering alternative solutions and/or persuading them to register with the British Council. He or she will also be required to do telemarketing to meet sales targets. In addition, the Course Consultant will also need to ensure the accuracy of cash, credit card, cheque and direct bank transfer collections for all payments.

To be considered a successful candidate, you must have at least one year of experience in sales and customer service, preferably in the services industry, experience handling local customers, local market knowledge, competent IT skills and basic knowledge of sales techniques. If you the above-mentioned as well as a basic understanding of SAP and CRM systems, you will be a preferred candidate. You must possess a Diploma or Degree in any discipline and good written and oral communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.

The Teaching Centre is busiest on weekends when young learners attend classes, placement tests are conducted. The successful candidate will work a five day week on a rotating shift system from Tuesday to Sunday.
